Bright sunshine greeted the 15 adventurous Merthyr Valley Ramblers ( including welcome guests Lesley and Michael, Caerphilly comrades Linda and June as well as old friends Emma and Andrew) in Talgarth at the start of our 8.5 mile walk. From the carpark, we climbed south following the river Ennig towards the Black mountains gliding club. As we approached the club, a heavily mudded path appeared to be almost impassible but those nice people in the gliding club answered our appeal and allowed us across their land past the gliders. We then followed the three rivers ride where we then turned south west to Dinas castle and lunch. It was then downhill all the way past middle Genfford where we then picked up the road to home. A superb inaugural walk by new walk leader Hilda, may there be many more! A big thanks to her and to all for the great company.
