8 ramblers including guest Lesley and 4 dogs, left the car park, in slight drizzle which passed quite quickly. We headed southwest until, after just over a mile, we reached the A4215 road. We very briefly walked along the road and then headed northwest across open country, eventually joining a former Roman Road. After 750 meters, we stopped for coffee, the weather brightening up with the occasional glimpse of the sun. We continuing along the Roman Road for a further 2.7 km, we then headed up towards the summit (a gentle hill) and stopped there for lunch with great views north. We then retraced our steps for about 1/2 km before heading directly back to the Mountain Centre. Thanks to Geoff and Jude for putting on the walk.
