Bright, warm and sunny weather greeted 16 ramblers (including welcome guests Dawn, Claire Ruby and Ben) in Aberaeron on day 1 of the Merthyr Valley Ramblers weekend away. The 9+ mile walk started in Aberaeron and we walked up the river to the old railway station at Llanerchaeron and then to take tea at the Edwardian stately home tea rooms. We then dropped down on the other side of the river to upper bridge where we turned East towards Aberarth and had lunch on the hill above. We then dropped down into the village and then walked along the coast back to the start. A cracking start to the weekend thanks to Peter and all the great company.
