Starting at the Dare Valley Country Park visitor centre, 10 ramblers including guest Rob, followed a sealed tramway towards Aberdare Library, before cutting through Aberdare Park and down to the Cynon to begin a gentle climb to the Abernant Tramway (unsealed). We stopped for morning tea near an old bridge, and then headed towards Cwmbach following another tramway path. We stopped for lunch in the park, enjoying the cricket match taking place. we went through Cwmbach to the Aberdare Canal, before passing Aberdare school and the leisure centre. We crossed Aberdare to make our way back into the Country Park and our starting point. Thanks to Jenny for an enjoyable walk.
