It was a warm and breezy when 10 lucky Merthyr Valley Ramblers (including a couple of friends from Islwyn ramblers) gathered at Tremynfa this morning. Our 5 1/2 mile stroll started with a short climb up a rocky path and made our way steadily north westerly to the Beacons way. Objective achieved, we continued northwards to a place known locally as the Scar where we had a cuppa. We then continued upwards to the trig point on Mynydd Llangorse where, after admiring the fabulous scenery, we started back down. We stopped by the top cairn and lunched as the sun came out and it got even warmer. We then retraced our steps back to the start. A smashing walk with great company, a big thanks to all, especially Morfedd and Rob for leading and two of our fans that took the group photograph.
