It was warm but misty start for the 12 hardy ramblers at the mountain centre today. We began our near 9 mile walk by heading Southwest then turning North through the Daudraeth Illtyd nature reserve and crossing Sarn Helen. Following the drovers road, we continued North where at Nwydd Cwmcamlais we headed west to the road. At the start of the long climb to the Cefn Llechid trig point, we had a coffee break as the sun broke through the mist and it got even warmer. We then had a straight climb past the waiting-for-harvesting bracken until we reached the trig point and luncheon. Fully refreshed, we then dropped down and crossed the Cwm Camlais then climbed again back to the drovers road that we used earlier. We then walked along the road to the standing stone and turned East back to the centre. Another superb walk with perfect views thanks to Simon and all the great company.
