Chartist Caves, 13 September 2025

After a blustery, wet walk out of Trefil village, the rain cleared at the Aneurin Bevan memorial where there were clearly some strange goings on. A lone stone building had appeared which we soon realised was part of a film set. With photographs taken, we continued onwards and upwards to have a tea break at a stream, then continued over some rugged moorland, taking in some beautiful views of The Brecon Beacons in the distance. We eventually reached the Chartist's Cave where we had our lunch break, then returned to Trefil village for some well earned refreshments in the Top House pub. Great company, stunning views with plenty of fresh mountain air. Thanks to Morfydd and Rob for organising the walk
