12 of us met up at the Beaufort Street car park in Crickhowell this morning for an easy 6+ miles. We made our way down the high Street and via Church Lane we made our way to the banks of the Usk by Crickhowell Bridge. The weather was misty and a little damp, definitely a day for staying low as we made our way towards Glanusk Bridge and the Glanusk Estate. After stopping to watch some fly fishing we made our way to the bridge for a cuppa, it was decorated with some bunting and the union Jack was flying. Refreshed, we made our way through the estate on the permissive path towards the canal, stopping for an impromptu group photo with the new king! It was then a leisurely stroll along the Mon & Brec canal before we left the canal and passed the old rectory and St Catwg's Church before returning to Crickhowell where some of us enjoyed some more refreshments at The Bear Hotel, Crickhowell.
