Dinas rock greeted fourteen Merthyr Valley Ramblers (including welcome guests Trudie and Helen) in bright sunshine today. Our 6.5 mile walk started uphill through Coed y Ffyrnau, across the Sychryd then due East to Ffynnon Ddu for a quick cuppa. We then criss-crossed along the tracks to Sgwg yr Elra where the bravest of us went down the steep path to the waterfall. It was then through Cilhepste Fach and Cerig and down a steep zig zag path to the old explosives factory where we had lunch. It was then along the river back to the start. A superb walk well led by Jenny and the usual great company.
