15 Merthyr Valley Ramblers met at the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Visitor Centre this morning for a near 8 mile circular to Fan Frynych. Somehow we managed mostly good weather, getting caught in just a couple of showers which meant it was a layers on/layers off kinda day! We headed south west toward Coed y fan where we stopped for a cuppa before our climb up to the ridge and onto the cairn with decent views across to Corn Ddu and Pen y Fan, managed to zoom in a little later to see the ants climbing! We then made our way to the trig at Fan Frynych where we had our group photo before dropping down out of the wind for a lunch spot with a view towards Pen y Fan and Corn Ddu. It was now a mostly downward return via Twyn Dylluan-ddu and Pont Pentre-Llech to rejoin the path back to the visitor centre. Thanks to all that came along and Derek for leading.
