Bright sunshine greeted seven intrepid ramblers (including welcome guest Zoe) on our 5+ mile walk today. We started by walking the road to Winchfawr where we turned up the narrow path to the top of Heolgerrig where we encountered the only rain of the day. We then dropped down to Gernant lane wher we made our way to Heolgerrig quarry and a refreshing cuppa. We then walked back down the lane and took the new path by the barrier up to the top of the ridge where we admired the views of Aberdare. We then headed back to the top of Heolgerrig and made our way to the Red Lion for drinks and our AGM. A big thanks to Maureen for a great walk and to all for the superb company.
