12 ramblers including guests Kwok, Annie and Rachael set off on a lovely winters morning. An absolutely stunning rollercoaster of a walk, starting at the Sirhowy Valley Country Park. After a 500 feet ascent, we decended back down...then picked up the Rumney Valley Ridgeway...and ascended 800 feet to the summit of Mynydd Machen. We returned to the Country Park via The Cambrian Way. Beautiful Autumn colours, spectacular scenery and great company. A big thank you to Peter for organising and leading the walk and to Alan for being back marker.
