It was quiet in the car park at Parc Taf Bargoed where 6 happy ramblers (including newbies Karen, Audrey and Christine) and welcome guest Steven gathered today. The rain held off as we started our three and a bit mile walk to the climbing centre and back. The pace was slow with many pictures taken and stories shared as we made our way past the reed beds to the Rock UK summit centre. All too soon, we were sitting outside their cafe quaffing tea, coffee and scoffing snacks. Now fed and watered, we made our way back along the other side of the reed beds and lake, taking in the wildlife and supurb views. Hopefully,there may be more walks like this in the future! A big thanks to all that turned up today and made a good walk a pleasure.
