Cold and dry was the weather for seven Merthyr Valley Ramblers on today’s 6 mile wal. From the car park in Hirwaun, we made our way through the suburbs and across the railway up towards Penderyn. After a quick cuppa, we carried upwards to Penderyn, past the Lamb hotel and up towards St Cynog’s church. After admiring the church, we then went down the road and through the woods where we lunched. Once fed and watered, we made our way back, passing the old ironworks on the way.
