Shadow of the Skirrid 2026, 4 April 26
Todays scene-filled walk starring 13 chilled-out Merthyr Valley Ramblers (including Chris from Portishead) started from Llanviangel Crucorney. We climbed steadily past Llanviangel Court and headed east for our first break. Carrying on, we continued east to lunch at little Pen-y-park. Once refreshed, we headed South to Pen-y-park then turned northwest across the fields back to the Court. After admiring the Court, we walked along the footpath then turned back on the road to The Skirrid Inn where food and drink awaited. A fitting end to a fine walk thanks to Morfedd and Rob plus the great company.
