Three Cliffs Bay, 6 September 2025

John's walks never fail to challenge and surprise you and today's 8.5 mile walk was no exception. With sadly no ladies nor dogs, the four of us made our way from the car park in warm but overcast weather onto the beach at three cliffs bay. Crossing the Pennard Pill stream on the beach proved a bit of a challenge but the sun came out as we paddled across successfully and so we had our first cuppa on the beach. It was then a sandy climb up through Pennard Burrows to Pennard Castle where more fantastic views were enjoyed in the rapidly warming sunshine. Passing the Church remains, we headed north then turned east across the footbridge to the edge of Kilvrough manor woods where we turned north again. We lunched in the ruined Chapel of Trinity Well, turned west through Lunnon to the park at long cairn from where we made our way back to the car park. An interesting walk over some infrequently used paths as well as the great company made this walk superb. Thanks to Michael for the extra pictures.
