Three Cliffs Bay, 30 September 2023

Warm weather and a warm breeze greeted 15 happy ramblers (including good friends Chris, Carol, Louise, Jane and welcome visitor Liz) at Penmaen today. We started our 8 mile walk by walking Northwest through the woods then after a coffee, hit the road and headed North to do a circle to arrive at the Park Le Bruce Neolithic burial chamber and the lime kiln. The stroll continued to the ford at Parkmill where we headed South to skirt the golf course and arrived at Pennard Castle where we lunched and drank in the spectacular views. We then dropped down across Pennard burrows to the beach at three cliffs bay and walked to the stepping stones which we used and then further along, had a last quick cuppa. We then turned North past Nicholaston where we headed West back to Penmaen as the rain threatened. A big thanks to John for a great walk and to all for the fantastic company.
