The sun shone brightly on the 13 hardy Merthyr Valley Ramblers in Parc Taff Bargoed today. Although quite cold, spirits were high as we started off on our 6+ mile stroll exploring Ynysowen. After walking through the suburbs of Treharris, we climbed towards Penbwicha where we had our first cuppa in the woods. We then carried onwards and upwards past the ruins at Pen-y-graig, picked up the road past Tir Cook, braved a hailstorm then on to the water tank foundations where we lunched. Then, it was then downhill all the way past Tir-lan and back to the Parc. Great company made for a lovely walk. Thanks all
